Two Cases from PDA Skins
Accessory Reviews

I've had the opportunity over the last several days to test two cases from the folks at PDA Skins. Both cases
are meant to clip to your belt and allow you to access its contents hands free. It is often difficult to review cases as most cases are built well, and do the job but I'll try to give you my impressions here.

PDA Pro

The PDA Pro works with most PDAs including the iPAQ, Palm, and Visor PDAs. It feels quite sturdy and hard which means it will protect your PDA well. It has a place for credit cards, cash, and of course, your PDA on the inside as well as a pocket on the outside for loose papers, etc. As you can see by the picture it folds out while clipped to your belt and allows you to work on your PDA without having to hold it with your hands. The straps that tell the case how far to flip down are made of velcro and can be easily adjusted. There is also a velcro strip inside the case so you can attach your PDA to the case so it won't fall out.

A plastic clip on the back of the case attaches to your belt allowing you hands free access to your PDA. Two zippers starting on opposite sides of the case allow you quick access to your PDA.

The case measures 5.7"H x 3.5"W x 1"D making it perfect for most PDAs. PDA Skins also sells a PDA Pro Phone case that has an additional slot for your mobile phone.

Micro Purse

The Micro Purse is a slightly larger case that is meant to work horizontally. Like the PDA Pro it also clips to your belt with two fairly wide velcro straps. The case does not open quite as much as the PDA Pro as it is meant to be more of an organizer. The Micro Purse has a pouch for a cell phone on the front of the case. On the inside, there's a really cool pull out credit card/ID holder that is attached to the case with velcro. This looks like a little credit card ID holder, but stays put in the case with the velcro. Nice touch.

Other features of the Micro Purse include room for a checkbook, pen, passport, PDA, cash, you name it. You could probably even keep a couple of spare batteries in the case. The Micro Purse case is made with microfiber and measures 6.1"W x 4.1"H x 1.1" D.

In Conclusion

Both of these cases feel very sturdy and well made. There is a lot of protection for your PDA in both cases. I don't know what the testing shows but in my unofficial opinion they both feel like they'd even protect against dropping of your PDA. In my mind the only question is whether or not you need hands free access to your PDA. If you do, these cases will work for you. You can find more info at the link below.
